Our Teachers

All of our teachers are passionate about music and the development of children.

They create a fun, informal, social setting that spurs engagement and supports each child's musical development. Our teacher have been trained at the Music Together® head quarters in Princeton NJ. Each one brings a unique quality to the program and
plays a musical instrument, guitar or piano.

Director and teacher, Ms. Kim is one of the best & loved early childhood music teachers in Bergen County. Coming from a background as a professional singer working with the likes of Chuck Berry, Little Richard, Connie Francis, and Dick Clark, Kim has been performing with the 60s review "The Party Dolls" for over 20 years, is still performing, and has been teaching Music Together for 20 years. I love that I am able to teach what I love the most and that is music!  I try to connect and engage the kids by including them in the circle of continuous music. I love the way they respond to the program especially when they bring in their books to show me how they are using them at home! I have taken the program with my daughter, who is now 18, and am thrilled to see how she has grown musically in so many ways because of this wonderful program!  She plays piano, guitar, ukelele sings and performs onstage with her musical theatre group. Music Together has fueled her love of music, and I believe has opened many doors for her as she became older. She is now headed to Montclair University to study music therapy.    Ms. Kim plays the guitar and was trained by the Center for Music & Young Children in Princeton and is a registered Music Together teacher.

Evelyn's teaching aproach combines live-guitar music with movement, rhythm intruments, and props, allowing children to actively participate and build foundational musical skils.  Her classes promote cognitive, social, and motor skill development through joyful, hands-on experiences.

In addition, Evelyn incorporates Hebrew songs and Jewish holiday-themed lessons, enriching her curriculum with cultural and linguistic elements.  She believes in the power of music to inspire confidence, creativity, and connection in young learners.

photo Nora Waldmann

Nora discovered her love and passion for music at the age of 6.  Her father, who is a musician and her former piano teacher, encouraged her to develop her voice and piano skills and to share with others by performing in front of people.  After she fell in love with jazz music, she took jazz vocal lessons at the "Consrvatory in Klagenfut" in Austria.  During an internship at a Kindergarten in the Netherlands (Rotterdam), she realized how much children benefit from music and how it helps to develop their fine and gross motor skills as wells as their creativitiy, social skills, emotional and language skills.  Not only that, but music also aids a child to develop their voice and to memorize and repeat tonal and rhythmical  patterns.

During this time, she discovered her love of working with children.  She lead parent-child music classes at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna after studying "Elementary Music Pedagogic", and in 2016 moved to New Jersey and had the chance to perform at the Manhatten Center in New York City.  Earlier this year, she went on tour in Korea and performed in front of thousands.  Nora was introduced to "Music Together" by her sister, who took classes at "Music Together of Bergen County".  She believes music influences a child's development in so many ways, and also strengthens the bond between parents and children.

We are thrilled to have her on board teaching with us this Spring!
